FINE ART
Karen Aneiro
|
Welcome to the Gallery! I’ve been an artist my whole life, finally taking
my talent seriously in college. I studied painting, photography, textiles,
printmaking and majored in sculpture, earning two undergraduate degrees in Fine
Art. My Masters Degree is in Museum Education. In graduate school I
continued my studio art education, studying Bronze Casting—the lost wax
process. After graduating, I worked in museums, furthering my art education.
While working at
The Florida Museum of Natural
History, as
an exhibit artist, I further developed my sculptural talents. I sculpted
with some of the best museum artisans in the country, learned a great deal and
enjoyed the experience! I’ve been freelancing since 2001. My work is
often horse-related. Surrounded by beautiful Arabians, Friesians and Llamas, I am
constantly inspired! I’ve participated
in several art shows and have won awards at the international, college and local levels. While
winning is thrilling, my greatest joy comes from people enjoying the art. My
sculptures are collected world wide and sold in Virginia & North Carolina galleries.
Prices range from $100.00 to $5000.00.
If you are interested in
commissioning a sculpture, painting, or photography, please contact
me. I would love discussing art with you– subject, pose, medium and
colors of your choice!
My studio is growing! Once the kiln is set up, I’ll be creating pottery, tiles and clay sculpture as well. Textiles made from our llamas' wool and yarn for your own projects will be available. Please check back often for new art!
