Our Dutch Friesian Horses

Angela M
&
Trienke Zeemeermin

And introducing Wander's Nepteunis

Once a Dutch Friesian horse captures your heart and imagination, you are never the same... Just watch the movie Lady Hawke-that's how we first fell in love with these magnificent black horses!   Friesian horses are an ancient European breed, thought to be directly descended from Equus Robustus.  They once carried Knights into battle and have galloped thorough history and movies, into horse-lovers' dreams...  After near extinction, the Dutch Friesian is making a grand comeback!  Extremely strict breeding regulations and devoted owners are producing strong and majestic horses.  Friesians are famous for their driving skills and were once raced at the trot.  Their intelligence, athletic talent and grace are especially apparent in Dressage competition!  Friesians have gentle, sweet dispositions, making them wonderful family horses, or first horses.

We are proud to introduce our rare & majestic Dutch Friesian mares: Angela M and Trienke Zeemeermin (Zima).  Our dreams came true when we purchased Angela.  On June 12th, 2006, Angela gave us a lovely filly, we call Zima.  As both Angela and Zima were imported, they introduce new bloodlines into the United States.  We bred Angela to Wander 352, one of only 19 approved Dutch Friesian Stallions in the U.S.   The resulting 2007 Dutch Friesian colt, Wander's Nepteunis, was born on June 7th and he is spectacular!  Please check back for updates!

We will offer exquisite & rare Dutch Friesian foals for sale.

Angela M
(Stamboek Ster 276004200017320)
Date of Birth-  April 17th, 2000
Angela M is a Dutch Friesian, full papered, ster mare.  Her inbreeding coefficient is 1.95%.  Her height is 16+ hands (163 cm) and she was imported from Europe in 2005.  Angela received 2e premie ratings in 2000, 2001 and 2003.  She is from an outstanding line of mares and by the stallion, Teunis 332.  The best way to describe Angela is elegant, enchanting-straight out of a fairytale!  She'll simply take your breath away.  She has a majestic presence, is an incredibly gentle mare and loves attention.  As a broodmare, Angela is passing her best traits to her foals.  We are retaining her 2006 foal, Trienke Zeemeermin, as a future broodmare.  Angela's 2007 colt by the incredible Wander 352 was born on June 7th!  Please look below for photos!  Angela is expecting a 2009 foal by Wander 352! Please check back for updates!

Our Dutch Friesian filly Trienke Zeemeermin was imported from Europe in-utreo.  She has an inbreeding coefficient of 3.71%.   Her dam is Angela M and she is by the stallion, Ait 410.  We call her Zima.  This beautiful filly has exceptional bloodlines, confirmation and movement!   Zima was awarded a 2e premie rating from the Dutch Judges at the 2006 Kuering, at only three months of age!  Zima is growing more beautiful every day.  Based on her leg measurements, she should mature at 16.2 hands (167 cm).   Zima's winter coat is coal black and she's growing extremely thick and long mane, forelock, tail and feathers.  She adores people, is gentle and sweet, learns quickly and loves attention!  Zima has a bright future ahead of her- as a show horse and broodmare.  Please check back for updated photos and future Kuering results! We are absolutely thrilled and are enjoying every minute we spend with him.  We will keep him as a future stallion prospect. Please check out his birth story on our News Page!
